Dairy Bar Restaurant Description:
Vintage Curles Neck Dairy invoices decoupaged at a booth reveal a lick of history at this spic-and-span spot in operation since 1946. It used to be the dairy's diner until the 1980s. The dairy is no longer here, but the "Bar" lives on, decorated in the greens and yellows of yesteryear kitchens. Owners Bill and Tricia Webb purchased it in 1996 and have lovingly kept this old-fashioned eatery and ice cream parlor much as it was. They serve the usual suspects for breakfast and lunch, including a club sandwich and homemade egg salad as well as uncommon treats like kielbasa with eggs and, when available, salt herring and grilled tomatoes. There are vegetarian items, too. Seniors get a ten percent discount every day, but folks of all ages herd in for 17 flavors of milkshakes, from fresh banana to rum raisin. And, apparently, you can teach an old cow new tricks. Hand-dipped ice cream flavors include maple nut, cinnamon, and raspberry truffle.

Review :
The Reuben sandwich comes with a thin, single piece of corned beef. The cheese was chalky. This was a $7 sandwich and it was atrocious. The "pastrami with swiss cheese" sandwich was just as bad. The meat, what little there was, was terrible.
