Haandi is an unassuming Indian eatery where a sense of elegance is paired with plasma screens blasting Indian pop music videos, resulting in a casual, family-friendly environment. With specialties from several regions of India---from coastal Goa to the mountainous state of Kashmir---Haandi's menu is diverse. Starters include familiar samosas and pakoras, as well as the street vendor specialty, Bombay chaat (crispy wafers topped with garbanzo beans, potatoes, onions and yogurt). A large number of vegetarian curries are offered, including mushrooms in a velvety masala sauce or lentils delicately cooked in butter. Chicken korma and shrimp Goan are creamy and indulgent, while dishes cooked in the tandoor tend to be lighter and less complicated, but slightly dry on occasion. Overall, Haandi represents one of the best Indian restaurants in the Inland Empire.
