Antonino's Ristorante Description:
We are pleasantly surprised to find this Inland Empire gem tucked into a suburban shopping center. Its dining room has more than a touch of elegance, with peach-hued walls covered with gilt-framed reproductions of Italian classics, and linen-topped, candlelit tables that are paired with comfy arm chairs. The chef-owner of Antonino's hails from India, but he cooks as if he was born and raised in Milan. To start, we like calamari Luciani (with garlic, olive oil, white wine and a splash of marinara) and scampi with wild mushrooms in a creamy Champagne sauce. Pastas---like penne with basil and sun-dried tomatoes in a light goat cheese sauce---are deftly prepared. So are main courses such as grilled salmon in a Mediterranean-inspired herb sauce. Considering the quality, prices are surprisingly moderate.
