While the Irregardless opened as a strictly vegetarian restaurant, the eclectic menu, which changes daily, now includes both fish and poultry. There are still plenty of vegetarian dishes, though.
Live jazz is featured nightly, while dance bands play on Saturday nights.
The parking lot is located across the street from the restaurant.
A longtime Raleigh treasure, this off-the-beaten-path establishment offers a daily changing menu that's as quirky as the restaurant's name. Once exclusively vegetarian, Irregardless still features many meatless dishes, now joined by fish, fowl and even beef. An internationally eclectic mix of tapas and main dishes defines the menu. You might find spicy jerk shrimp, chili Parmesan chicken, blackened scallops served with a creamy risotto and sautéed spinach, or rib-eye steak topped with a mushroom compound butter. Irregardless hasn't forgotten its vegetarian following, and offers several veggie main dishes and fresh salads with a choice of lemon tahini and other tasty house-made dressings.
