Chez Leveque Description:
Located in the chic heart of the Mile End district of Montreal, Chez Lévêque offers upscale bistro dining and a casually classy environment. Small tables with simple comfortable chairs arranged around a central bar provide a pleasant low-key atmosphere conducive to anything from a business lunch to a romantic dinner for two. The menu offers proficient variations on traditional French cooking. Items such as a tomato, carrot and cumin soup, or veal kidney in a black currant sauce show a respect for conventional French cuisine while at the same time displaying a playful creativity that is hard to resist. The artful arrangements are highlighted with drizzles of colorful sauces, and portions won't have you leaving hungry. The Gaulois bitter chocolate cake with Grand Marnier is served with a flavorful raspberry coulis. The wine list is extensive, offering wines from $25 to $300 a bottle over four pages with half-bottle options on some, by-the-glass options on others. The staff is professional, friendly---but not overly so---and efficient.

Review :
French Bistro great menu and busy atmosphere.
I especially love their lunch salads. Best French bread in town.
Small intimate bar and terrace in the summer on popular Laurier Street. Very French.
