Review :
I usually don't go out of my way to complain about anything or anyone but this was so ridiculous that I had to say something. I got off of the bus with my 5-year-old son to transfer to a MAX train. We had quite a bit of waiting time so I thought I would get him something warm to drink because it was freezing outside. I went up to the window and was barely greeted by the guy inside who was busy cleaning the pastry case. I asked him if he could make a warm milk for my son and he told me, "Nope. We don't have anything like that." Because I have gotten him one there before, I asked him, "Isn't it called a 'steamer'?" and his reply was, "We have steamers but I have to heat them to 130 degrees." I asked him why he couldn't make a warm milk and he said it was because of Oregon state health codes. I told him that I have gotten one there before and he crossed his arms, leaned against the counter and said, "You didn't get it here!" Surprised by his accusation that I was lying, I told him that I actually had so I didn't know why he would say that. I then asked if there was anything warm and kid-temperature that he could make for my son and he told me 'no', not even the hot chocolate. He said that he must heat everything up to 130 degrees per the Oregon State health code. I mentioned that Starbucks does it all the time so they must be breaking the rules. His reply? "This isn't Starbucks." and leaves the window to continue cleaning the pastry case. I was so shocked at how he was treating me and my son that I felt like crying. I even snapped at the rude lady who interrupted me because she was impatient. This is not a normal occurrence for me, whatsoever, and it has been bothering me, ever since. All I wanted was something warm for my son to drink so he wouldn't be cold, anymore. Instead we both got treated poorly and shut down.
