This hangout is where bands break in and friendships break out. People come and go all day, some lingering over breakfast with the newspaper, others enjoying a satisfying vegetarian lunch, shooting some pool with a pitcher of beer, or listening to the eclectic music that has made this place a landmark. The reasonably priced menu offers American fare with a modern twist. The Cannonballs are toasted bread bowls filled with veggie beans, turkey chili or soup. Burgers, salads and a variety of sandwiches offer something for everyone. Breakfasts are basic comfort food: biscuits and gravy, burritos, omelets, french toast and egg scrambles. There are plenty of vegan options, too.
