Yen Ha Description:
It might be sort of worn down, but Yen Ha still has some mojo working. It was one of the first serious Southeast Asian restaurants in Portland, and over the years it has maintained a respected reputation. Tucked into the midst of a thriving Asian-American restaurant row, almost anything you order here will reward you. There's a gargantuan Vietnamese menu, so spend some time with the list and don't feel overwhelmed. Assembling an interesting array of dishes is half the fun of dining here. Certainly any dish making use of greens, cilantro, green onions and mint for wrappings is bound to be spanking fresh. The salty cracked crab with black bean and garlic sauce is a hedonist's messy delight. Note that on weekends, Yen Ha is also known as a lively watering hole for karaoke fans.
