Chef Mirna Attar and her husband John work hard to make each customer feel welcome at their tidy Lebanese café. The bright and warm interior is enhanced by the festive crowd and savory aromas. Mirna handles the basics well. Try the meze platter for a full array of intense flavors. But her talent is truly showcased in her special dishes, a variety of meat and seafood entrées not found in other Portland restaurants. Vegans will enjoy plenty of palate-pleasing choices, such as makloube, a savory eggplant and basmati rice casserole.
