Stanich's Description:
Back in 1949, George and Gladys Stanich opened a tavern---she cooked, he philosophized. Their grandkids now run the spot still with a reputation for friendly personalized service, plenty of sports talk, and the Special, a five-pound burger billed as the world's greatest. The rest of the menu hovers around that huge royal hamburger, but includes favorite all-American diner fare as well. Choose from traditional sandwiches such as a patty melt, BLT, or ham and cheese. Spend some time perusing the memorabilia-packed walls, or work off that deluxe burger playing pool. This place is a throwback, so don't expect more. It's cash only here, with a convenient on-site ATM.
