This charming Pearl District bistro is quite understated compared to some of its glitzy neighbors---and that's the way its loyal regulars like it. Antique furnishings, ceiling fans, and warm tones evoke the nostalgic feel of a comfortable urban, neighborhood joint that has serviced countless patrons over the years. The tempting menu of classic Italian fare---lasagna, pasta and stuffed meat---is served with Northwest flair and an eclectic French attitude. Some of the standout entrées include pappardelle with braised wild boar ragù and slow roasted Guinea hen with grilled eggplant. Desserts are especially tantalizing, and crème brûlée fans will like the variety of changing flavors such as toasted coconut with mango sorbet.
