Sushi Kim Restaurant Description:
When Korea-born Kim arrived in Pittsburgh, he opened a tiny restaurant with a four-seat sushi bar. Since then, in stages, he has purchased the building next door, added a second story above, extended the sushi bar, built a koi pond and added an upstairs all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue. Situated between the Strip District and Downtown, Sushi Kim has a clientele comprised of an eclectic mix: professionals, dating couples, students, artists and athletes. Fresh, well-prepared sushi and sashimi come in various combination platters and boats of all sizes. You'll also find cooked Korean dishes on the menu, but the cook-it-yourself barbecue buffet operates on Friday and Saturday after 5 p.m. or by special reservation.
