Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse Description:
The Pittsburgh outpost of this local restaurant family serves prime cuts, seafood and specialty items in an Art Deco-inspired setting. Relax in the bar and order cocktails plus a starter---perhaps blackened scallops or crab cakes---before you head in for the main meal. The à la carte menu specializes in Prime beef, properly grilled or broiled, sometimes plain and simple, other times topped with béarnaise sauce, wrapped with bacon or smothered with mushrooms. Surf 'n' turf dinner combinations are available with seafood choices such as crab meat, skewered shrimp or cold-water lobster tail. All desserts are house-made, including cheesecakes, apple pie and carrot cake. Mondays through Fridays, 4 p.m.-6 p.m., happy hour brings $4 cocktails and $5 small plates, such as pizza, calamari and sliders.
