With its historic wooden bar and black and white tiled floor, Thomas' conjures up a gentler age in bustling Manayunk. Choose the bar up front for a casual bite, or head upstairs, where fine dining and reservations rule. Chef Michael Fee brings a classical sensibility to dishes such as steak frites with brandied shallot butter and pan-seared salmon with picholine olive and mustard sauce. The bistro menu offers an array of sandwiches and salads along with a few items from upstairs, including the steak frites and a single jumbo lump crab cake. Brunch is a tasty, relaxed affair.
