The Sansom Street Oyster House Description:
In the Mink family for three generations (except for a few years with chef Cary Neff in the kitchen), the Oyster Bar (formerly Sansom Street Oyster House) is back in business, and better than ever. With third-generation restaurateur Sam Mink at the helm, the reconceived Oyster Bar offers a different bar configuration, a large central raw bar and a terrific menu of fresh seafood, from raw clams and oysters to house specialties like the lobster roll. Entrées include the smoked trout salad with endive, frisée, apple and lemon-poppy crème fraîche, a fried soft shell crab po' boy with Creole rémoulade and, for the landlubbers, an Oyster House Prime dry-aged burger topped with a fried oyster, blue cheese and grilled onions. A fine menu of craft beers and wines by the glass complements the top-of-the-catch fare. Ask about oyster shooters---they're a specialty of the house.
