Margaret Kuo, a queen of Chinese cuisine in the suburbs for more than 35 years, has created an elegant showplace for her Shanghai cooking, which includes some of the best Peking duck in the city and suburbs. There is also a separate sushi room, and an international wine list, with many selections by the glass. Try one of the first-rate sakés, including the crisp Iyo Densetsu. For more adventurous diners, Kuo serves a special weekend menu during the day to her Chinese patrons---and anyone in the know. Shanghai cuisine from the Yangtze River Delta might include dishes such as salted duck tongues, steamed soup buns, and spare ribs Wuxi-style, roasted in a sauce popular in that lakefront city.
