Oley Valley Inn Description:
Built in 1881, the Oley Valley Inn is listed with the Berks County Register of Historic Places. In 1983, Oley Township was appointed to the National Register of Historic Places as a Historical District, the first municipality in Ameria to be listed in its entirety.
Originally known as the Oley Valley Hotel, in 1976, it became the Inn at Oley. In 1987, Steven A. Yeanish, an honor graduate of the Culinary Institute of America purchased the Inn now known as the Oley Valley Inn. In 1991, Barrie D. Frain joined the Inn as Maitre d'Hotel.
The charm of the Oley Valley Inn is its four Bed & Breakfast rooms and restaurant with six different dining rooms.
The Inn serves dinner Tuesday through Saturday from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM and Sunday Brunch from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM. (Sunday Brunch is not served for the month of August.) The Menu, influenced by tasteful, uncomplicated, healthy perparation and exquisite presentation, utilizing only the finest and freshest ingredients, reflects the tastes of this area, with emphasis on American Continental cuisine. Relax and enjoy a brief escape to a romantic, leisurely dining experience.
The Bar dining room with its original pressed tin ceiling has an English Hunt motif. The Rose room is an intimate Victorian dining room. The Main dining room, an elegant Victorian Parlor is adorned with rich Paisley wallpaper. The Kitchen dining room, which was the original kitchen with walk-in fireplace and cook stove, over looks the outdoor Patio dining area covered by a pergola with ceiling fans and soft lighting. The patio features fountains, flowers, ornamental trees, koi pond and chef's herb garden. The Vintage room, located on the secon floor is a formal dining room appointed in rich tapestry, with many souvenirs from the California Wine Country.
The Oley Valley Inn has been voted the Best in Berks for the past 3 years by the readers of "Berks County Living Magazine".
Dinner Entrees range from $14.95 - $28.50. Sunday Brunch Entrees range from $ 9.95 - $ 16.95.
