John & Peter's is a New Hope institution and proud of it. Touting itself as the first live music and food establishment between New York and Philadelphia, the cave-like bar and seating areas would keep Jack Kerouac content. On any given night, a band might be belting out Allman Brothers tunes or playing mellow jazz or blues, so have a beer at the bar, or sit at a small table and order some munchies---wings, quesadilla, Buffalo shrimp, sweet potato fries and the like. Burgers and grilled tuna sandwiches and a kids' menu are also available. Winter hours are abbreviated, so call before you go.
