I am not sure how to politely tell of my experience at our local Gingerbread restuarant. I am embarrassed and at the same time shocked. I have been an occasional customer for almost two decades and have enjoyed the delicious food and drinks. This time was much different and upsetting. Over the years I have tried different foods, and when I tasted something undesirable I would ask for it to be fixed or exchanged. For years this has never been a problem and because of the excellent service I have taken and hooked many other customers by referring them to the Gingerbread. This time there was a different waitress that waited on us. She was condensending with my friend. When my friend requested for her mild chicken wings to be fixed the waitress didn't even blink an eyelash at telling her she would be charged for two meals. She never once went to the manager until I insisted she check on it. She went and came back and still did not tell us whether she was going to correct it. When we asked for the bill, her attitude was demeaning. I really do not llike to give any negative reviews, however I can tell you as long as she works in the Gingerbread and they are hiring this caliber of staff I will no longer be sending requests or eating there.
