Ladurée Champs Elysées Description:
Ladurée is in its origins a bakery, making macaroons, sweets, pastries and other desserts.
In this Ladurée branch in the Champs Elysées, 45 pastry chefs and 40 cooks prepare traditional and festive dishes that demonstrate their know-how and their creativity.
Ladurée le Bar is an extension of David Holder's boutique on the Champs-Elysées. Designed in a futuristic manner, the establishment is equipped with a large bar where flocks of diners arrive for early morning breakfast. The best deal is the €18 fixed price menu, which includes a basket of miniature Viennese pastries and traditional bread accompanied by butter, honey, jelly and a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice or grapefruit juice, coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Add two fried eggs for a €5 supplement. The executive chef, Michel Lerouet, has organized his menu into several categories including potatoes, truffles, eggs, blinis, tapiocas and salads. He also proposes a traditional "Quasi de veau" and organic salmon at reasonable prices. The pastry chef, Philippe Andrieux, embodies the current trend by concocting eight desserts served in "verrines" (small glasses). But the emblematic product of the house, that small, round, soft and crispy cake, dubbed the Macaroon, should not be missed.
