Just off the picturesque Place des Victoires in the second arrondissement, Chez Georges attracts a steady stream of loyal locals, mostly from the nearby stock exchange, and trusting tourists in search of sincere portions of heart-warming classic French bistro fare. Frisée and lardon salad, terrines, steak béarnaise, duck and sole meunière are to be enjoyed either with the well-priced wine selections that appear on the daily blackboard, or with a more important bottle from the restaurant's serious wine list.
