W Restaurant Description:
A new chef, 35-year-old Frédéric Giraud, has been appointed to be in charge of the restaurant at the Warwick Champs-Elysées. He earned his reputation while working many years with the excellent Gérard Vié and Jean-Marc Banzo. His contagious gourmandise is apparent in the designation of his courses: pig foot, truffle and rosevals, pressé of carapace, veal chop, gratin dauphinois, scampi with white cabbage and an Armorican sauce. For dessert, choose from a selection of chocolate, guanaja, jivara and ivory ice cream. At the bar of the W, a flexible menu enables diners to mix and match the course, the side and the sauce out of a list of five courses, eight sides and six sauces. Menu €80. A la carte €55.
