Marius et Janette Description:
Marius et Janette is a nice place to go when you want classical, impeccably prepared fish dishes. The décor is nautical and the dining room is designed to resemble a yacht. There are porthole light fixtures, stuffed swordfish and varieties of fishhooks and fishing gear on the blond wood walls. The restaurant's lovely terrace is protected from the street by green hedges and is situated just a short distance from the foot of the Eiffel Tower. You can choose from a variety of raw oysters (including the prized Belons from the Brittany shores), steamed langoustines and fresh crab as your appetizer and then move on to whole grilled sea bass or fried whiting in a tartare sauce. Desserts range from refreshing seasonal fruit soups to tiramisu and vanilla millefeuille. The prices reflect the fact that the finest and freshest ingredients are used in all of the preparations.
