The Five Senses Description:
Jason Wagner, owner and chef, has breathed new life into the little house at 458 1/2 Rochester. Occupied formerly by Gourmet on the Run, Jason and friends did an extensive renovation throughout to retrieve the old world craftsmanship of the century old house. A Mediterranean feel was accomplished with the application of a multi-layered stucco wall treatment.
Jason’s sister has some samples of art adorning the wall. Her French Impressionist stylings establish a European atmosphere. Fresh oils and vinegrettes in fancy gift bottles are displayed on the shelves of an antique corner unit. His connections to the arts community provides an opportunity to display various artists. He recently held an exhibition of Ela Kinowska's photography.
Tables have an irregularly tiled mosaic top, seats are genuine wood, each distinct save their one shared feature; hand wrought. And when you get to the display counter housing crepes, croissants, tortes, biscotti, muffins, crisps, and cakes — your cup runneth over.
Jason does catering and can provide healthy meals for your take out.
