The pulled pork is great, super tender and oh so flavorful. The sweet BBQ sauce is great as well! One of the best sweets I've had in a long time.
The sides are, well, hardly worth mentioning but being the BBQ Brat that I am, here goes.
The black-eyed peas are under cooked, and the collard greens taste more like poorly made turnip greens (which I loathe).
Meanwhile the green beans are over done and mushy. I am a down home southern girl, I know how black-eyed peas, collards greens and green beans should be and this place is NOT it!
If you are looking for good BBQ meats, good sized portions, at a decent low price, you can't go wrong with this place. The meats are cooked wonderfully and the sauce is good.
Be wary of the sides, they need some serious perfecting in that arena.
If you want a great tasting BBQ MEAL, with all the sides at a great price and great taste, go to Ole Boy's BBQ, great meats, great sauce, and great sides!!
