Kona Cafe Description:
The brilliant mosaic tile work livens up this busy hotel restaurant. The legendary breakfast Tonga Toast is one of Disney World's most requested recipes: banana-stuffed sourdough bread, rolled in cinnamon sugar and fried. Served, of course, with freshly brewed Kona coffee. Lunch is hit-and-miss, but we can recommend the stir-fried Asian noodles. Dinner choices are mostly worth the trip, starting with wok-seared duck dumplings with a creamy ginger-soy sauce, or crab cakes with pineapple relish. Or try the tuna Oscar served with fried green tomatoes, coconut-almond chicken with Asian greens and a honey-lime dressing, and miso-glazed mahi. Desserts are as simple as a no-sugar-added apple stack or as seductive as the chocolate Kilauea torte filled with warm hazelnut and chocolate that spills out when the torte is pierced with a fork.
