The Short Story Brasserie - Granville Restaurant Description:
This brasserie brings a world of flavor and culinary adventure to you in the same spirit that Hemingway brought the sight, sounds and flavors of the world to his readers.
From its Prelude (drinks) to Part I (chilled small plates) to its Denouement (desserts) and Footnotes (after dinner drinks), The Short Story is a gustatory salute to writer Ernest Hemingway. It was inspired by a gift given to owner J. Norman Housteau by his mother when he was a child, the short stories of Hemingway. Sleek, modern and masculine, the restaurant features posters of Key West and a portrait of Hemingway as a young man on its terra cotta-colored walls. Relax with Hemingway's Havana mojito and start off with lobster gazpacho or fricassée of Maine lobster with wild mushroom and herb gnocchi. For entrées, we recommend the pan-seared sea scallops with asparagus, shiitake and bacon hash. For dessert, try the chocolate tart with caramel gelato and sauce anglaise.
