Lake White Club Description:
Located on the shore of Lake White, a man-made lake about two miles outside the small town of Waverly, the dining room overlooks the lake. As you enter the restaurant, the huge timbers you see forming the walls of the foyer are the original walls of a log cabin built in the mid-1820's.
That cabin became the Lake White Club in 1938, serving fried chicken to visitors to the newly formed lake. The restaurant, and its chicken, quickly became so popular that a huge screened in front porch had to be added to the log cabin dining room, and that porch was soon converted to a year-round dining room.
Steaks and fried chicken are the specialty of this establishment; wine is only available in the bar section.
