With chefs Jonathan Bennett and Peter Vauthy at the helm, Red, the sister restaurant of Moxie, is an American steakhouse that also serves up a variety of chops and seafood dishes alongside indulgent salads, sides and desserts. Certified Angus beef is requisite, and while every cut---including a New York strip, rib-eye, porterhouse and two sizes of filet---is melt-in-your-mouth tender, meat is not the only thing on Red's well-tailored menu. Appetizers include raw oysters with a "Red" mignonette, steak tartare and even a dressed-up version of clams casino. For the entrées, diners will face a daunting challenge, choosing between the New Zealand lamb rack, Prime cuts of beef and pasta dishes that include mixed seafood in a creamy tomato sauce. The well-crafted wine list consists of over 500 carefully selected bottles; servers are knowledgeable about pairings and happy to guide you through the list. Desserts reflect Red's well-honed balance of style and substance.
