The Melting Pot Description:
Fondue is better than ever here, served amidst dimly lit Scandinavian décor in booths, private rooms and intimate alcoves for couples. The menu is huge, the wine list worthy. Choose a cooking style---hot canola oil, veggie broth or Caribbean or coq au vin---and watch as your server heats the in-table electric burner and the fun begins to bubble. Best value is the "Big Night Out," which includes all courses and a choice of three entrée platters. We like the fondue fusion for two, but it certainly is enough for three. Bread, veggies and apple dippers in Gruyère, provolone, Asiago and Fontina cheeses with white wine and hints of pesto, roasted peppers and nutmeg prepared tableside starts the experience. Next, there's a Caesar salad with Parmesan encrusted pine nuts, followed by the entrée platter with lobster tail, filet mignon medallions, porcini-rubbed sirloin, herbed chicken, black tiger shrimp and sun-dried tomato-mascarpone ravioli. Grab a color-coded fork and start dipping until it's time for dessert: chocolate, of course, with fresh fruit, brownies, marshmallows, pound cake and cheesecake for swirling.
