Wildfox Description:
Warm up in the cooler months at this rustic American bistro with its cozy fireplaces and warming off-the-kitchen chef's counter or chill in the warmer months on the laid-back patios and at the lounge-bar area. Wild Fox's rotisserie and wood-burning oven churn out California-inspired fare created by executive chef Munther Massarweh. Begin with such popular appetizers as mudbug crayfish fritters with a spicy chipotle dip; the warm walnut-crusted Laura Chennel goat cheese roasted garlic flatbread; or a pipin' hot bowl of smoked Texas venison chili dolloped with horseradish cream served with a chunk of bacon-and-cheddar-cheese cornbread. Entrées run the gamut from jumbo shrimp and crayfish-tail risotto tossed with butternut squash, assorted mushrooms, chives and Wisconsin Asiago cheese and a camp fire-style rotisserie half chicken served with cornbread stuffing, candied carrots and mushroom gravy to an aged sirloin steak in mesquite roasted onion sauce and pepper-crusted filet mignon in a Jack Daniels reduction. Choose from a reasonably priced and extensive California wine list and an imported beer menu.
