Applebee's Neighborhood Grill Description:
Wide choice of grilled entrees including steak, chicken, seafood and many other choices.Pasta, sandwiches, salads and appetizers. Full bar with sports on TVs. Smoking area around the bar and non-smoking away from the bar. Expect to wait for a table at dinner time on many evenings especially the weekend.
We do like Applebee's for its homey appeal and comfy foods such as golden fried mozzarella sticks with a tasty marinara sauce, and honey barbecue baby-back ribs served with barbecue baked beans and fries. Honoring the nearest high school's sports teams, scads of pop culture artifacts adorn the walls. The casual restaurant is a favorite of the family set, but the sizeable pub-style bar offers plenty for the grown-ups, including a line of signature drinks with such names as Bahama Mama. Go for the boneless Buffalo wings served with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing. Among neighborhood favorites are the beer-battered fish 'n' chips, and the three-cheese spinach lasagna served with Caesar salad and garlic toast. Save room for the Blue Ribbon brownie with hot fudge, vanilla ice cream and nuts.
