Red Sky Cafe Description:
Dinner begins with a complimentary Asiago artichoke spread, served with bruschetta, which disappears as fast as it arrives. Dinner choices range from Asian dishes, such as the sesame-lacquered salmon with spicy Thai orange glaze to regional favorites, like St. Louis ribs and the more French-inspired catch-of-the-day with your choice of crab cake or jumbo shrimp. Then there are pure Red Sky plates, such as the Blue Moo (a Maytag blue cheese-crusted tenderloin), Hawaiian ahi with a Chardonnay crème fraîche and seaweed salad, and Chef Wes' Surf & Turf. Lunch also features a wide range of options: salads, burgers, the "sexi mexi"---a tortilla loaded with cheeses, fresh guacamole and pico de gallo, a chicken BLT, and other well-constructed sandwiches. The dimly lit restaurant has that European "space is at a minimum so make the most of it" feel; its open kitchen is separated from the dining area only by a utilitarian beverage service area (fortunately, this doesn't create an unpleasant noise level). A premier location right across the road from the Town of Duck Park makes Red Sky Café a good stop for pre-concert dinners.
