Espeto Na Bras Description:
When Alex De Paula was growing up in Sao Paulo, his family spent Sundays at the local churrascaria. They'd sit for hours savoring rotisserie meats, sharing stories and laughing, children romping at their feet. Along with his mother and brother, he's re-created that experience with the first Brazilian steakhouse in the heart of downtown Norfolk. For a fixed price, diners help themselves to a salad bar (don't miss the potato salad) and hot buffet, loaded with everything from soup and vegetables to beans. Back at the table, they relax while servers with a gracious gusto slice skewered meat (over a dozen types and cuts at dinner, eight at lunch) such as filet mignon, pork, chicken and lamb. Then they flip what looks like a salt shaker to green on top to signal them to "keep it coming" and red for "taking a break." Call it a lazy man's buffet. Those looking for a little less protein can feast on just the salad bar and hot buffet for a less meaty price. Brazilian drinks such as the caipirinha and guarana heighten the festive mood in this big, vintage venue. Also located in Virginia Beach.
