Martin's Bar-B-Que Description:
Most authentic BBQ in the Nashville area. Cooked fresh everyday and when they run out, they are out till the next day. Sides, sauce, desserts etc. are made in house.
The measure of a good barbecue restaurant is in the straight-up, un-sauced product, and Martin's excels on this count. The pulled pork is tender and juicy with just the right amount of smoke flavor sealed in, driven home with crispy bits of bark. The ribs are first-rate, as is the brisket, and you can also dig into offbeat entrées such as the Redneck Tacos, open-faced sandwiches of pulled pork piled onto hoecakes (fried discs of cornmeal batter). We also recommend the sides, from the tender green beans to the crisp, cool slaw and the creamy potato salad. Add a bucket of locally brewed Yazoo Pale Ale and a seat on the patio, and you've got the makings of a memorable evening. Well worth the 30-minute drive from central Nashville.
