Chef Scott Conant has moved on, but with a décor by Gabby Karan De Felice and the opening of Urban Zen, her Mom's (designer Donna Karan) earth-friendly boutique next door, beautiful people are back, lining up to snatch one of the few tables. In the main dining room, a palette of soft gray walls and dark wood floors creates a bright and mellow atmosphere. All glittery, the marina sparkles---a striking backdrop to the busy bar. Chef/co-partner Maurizio Marfoglia, late of Barolo in Manhattan, prepares the Milanese cuisine. A brittle and light shrimp, calamari and zucchini fritto balances the glistening anchovy oil of a sea bass tartare. The thick and earthy cavatelli with Falanghina wine veal ragù will give you Roman dreams, and the ravioli, filled with Granny Smith apple, mascarpone and ricotta, explode languorously in the mouth. An intense chocolate mousse is a perfect excuse for a siesta.
