Gargiulo's Restaurant Description:
If you're not one of the family when you enter Gargiulo's, you will be by the time you leave. This traditional Italian, located just two blocks from the frenetically busy Coney Island boardwalk, is the real "red sauce" deal. While the room feels more like a catering hall than a taverna, the tuxedoed waiters and dress code make no pretense when it comes to seriously fun dining. This is a place for copious portions of veal Marsala scaloppine, stuffed mushrooms, seafood, and pastas of all kinds. On any given night, birthday and anniversary celebrations will punctuate the evening, and around the corner you may get a glimpse of the busy event area where bands and dancers while the night away. Desserts are a must and the tortoni, spumone, and tartufo might make the average diner gasp with childish delight. When you're finished, saunter over to the carnival satisfied in knowing that you've had a much better dining experience than those in line at Nathan's.
