Roman's Description:
From the Marlow & Sons family and in the space that was Bonita, Roman's made a quick impression on Fort Greene. This Italian-inflected eatery subscribes to the locavore trend to the nth degree. The handwritten menu at the homey neighborhood spot changes nearly every day (based on available seasonal ingredients), but expect hearty pâtés, such as the creamy turkey pâté on chunky farmers bread, as well as nosh favorites like big cheese croquettes, and variations on the theme of pasta, such as tagliatelle with a meaty bolognese sauce, pappardelle with nut pesto, and tortellini laced with pork and chicory. The wine list isn't extensive, but offers an affordable selection of bottles and glasses.
