Yaffa Cafe Description:
This East Village staple is full of weird and wonderful decorations, very warm with low-lit ambiance, really 80s. And even if the tables are crowded together and there is always music you can still handle a conversation with your friends. While the indoor area is fairly ordinary the garden seating in warm weather is a crowning achievement. The food is healthy, featuring many salads (with their special carrot salad dressing!) and dips, sandwiches, pastas and delicious desserts. The place is open all night, and many people come here for a very late night snack.
This café with a colorful garden is home to East Village locals and features a selection of salads, soups and pasta dishes. Starters include the Middle Eastern platter, with hummus, tahini and baba ghanouj; vegetarian spring rolls; and guacamole with chips. The salads are massive enough to be a main course.
