Nick & Stef's Steakhouse Description:
Joachim Splichal, Los Angeles uber-chef, created this steakhouse in honor of his twin sons, Nick & Stef. Restaurant operations these days fall to Splichal's New York business partners, Restaurant Associates, who maintain this French version of the all-American steakhouse. In addition to a cowboy rib-eye, filet mignon, and other beefy choices, the menu expands on the traditional steakhouse repertoire by offering a veal chop, assorted sauces that can be mixed and matched, and side dishes that seem less like an afterthought as they do in so many other steakhouses. Desserts are as all-American as they come, especially the to-die-for cheesecake.
