Chef Ho's Description:
Out-of-town restaurateurs, food critics on their own nickel and the occasional celebrity attend this quiet, unassuming and spotlessly clean bastion of food from China's cooler climates. The respected veteran chef Wing Loi Ho and his son, Michael, run a friendly and satisfying source of Szechuan and Hunanese cooking. The dining room may not look Chinese, but plates sparkle with spicy dumplings, cold sesame noodles, plump and firm shrimp baked in salt, and crispy twice-cooked orange beef.
