Cabana Description:
Dining at Cabana is like being at one big party. As lively a Cuban-Caribbean restaurant and bar as you'll find in Manhattan, the eatery is colorful, fun and serves up dishes and drinks to match. The white or red sangría, or mojitos made with Seven-Up and real sugar cane, are the real deal, as are the enormous pressed Cuban sandwich with its variety of meats, pickles and sweet mustard; and the ropa vieja with onions, peppers and tomatoes. Salads are inventive and include fruits like mango and cantaloupe. A sampler plate of bocadillos for those who can't decide what to eat is enormously shareable, with shrimp fritters, jerk (very hot and sticky) chicken wings and empanadas. Lunch is a terrific bargain and a draw among Bloomingdale's shoppers and businessmen alike.
