Szechuan Capital Restaurant Description:
The decor is a couple of steps above that associated with a fast food place. Spend just a little time and you will find it is a family place. In addition to the roast meats that Chinese homemakers bring home to serve; there are a range of breads (steamed and fried), pickles, and other items that can be used to enhance a meal but might be too much for working parents or spouses to routinely make.
But of course it is primarily a restaurant and the menu is very extensive with many not often seen choices: Manila clam with ginger soup, abalone and sliced chicken soup, sliced kidney with vegetables, Mongolian beef with scallion sauce, and noodles with pork, shrimp and egg drop in thick soup for example. All the usual favorites are well represented on the menu as well as dishes featuring tripe, lobster, crab, eel, snails, or a variety of seafood.
Week days from 11am to 4pm there are over 50 lunch specials mostly priced $4.25 to $5.25.
Delivery is limited to a ten block radius.
