Cannelle Patisserie Description:
Described as a "French bakery in the heart of Jackson Heights," Cannelle Patisserie was opened in December 2007 by the former Executive Pastry chef at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel and The Maisonette, Jean-Claude Perennou. The traditional desserts and baked goods range from pear tarts and bread pudding to muffins, cupcakes and more elaborate desserts and wedding cakes. Of course there are also plenty of varieties of baguettes, croissants, and other cinnamon rolls ("cannelle" is French for cinnamon). Located in the Jackson Heights Shopping Center on 31st Avenue between 75th and 77th St next to Waldbaum's.
