Mac's Steak House Description:
Mac's Steakhouse in Huntington Village seeks to be a refined restaurant, serving all-natural steaks and boasting a notable wine list. The menu includes an array of steaks and seafood, as well as an interesting selection of appetizers including pulled short rib dumplings; crab meat salad with avocado, tomato and lemon; and a mac and cheese with three cheeses, bacon and scallions. Something falls short, though, when the "signature surf and turf" proves bland and unexciting. The six-ounce lobster tail is devoid of flavor and has a rubbery texture, and its accompanying filet mignon seriously underwhelms the taste buds. The meal is served with no sides, which come at added sizable cost. A frozen cappuccino parfait with cinnamon custard sauce and chocolate pecan crunch is a pleasant finish, but can't save the otherwise unsatisfying meal.
