Blue Honu Description:
Honu Kitchen & Cocktails is an odd mix of fine dining and casual bar. Its food menu isn't as extensive as its drink offerings, but the latter compensate with fun, tasty drinks such as the signature coconut martini, peach mojito, and trendy acai cocktail. A rib-eye steak is tender and well cooked yet safe, the side of fries flavorless, and the shrimp with scampi butter and Meyer lemon flavorful but dull. Sticking to appetizers and sides is a better idea, if you can find small plates to complement each other on a menu that includes a disparate mix of Peking duck, macaroni and cheese, and a tomato and mozzarella salad. The prices are steep, though, and with abundant options in the area, neither the food nor the crowded bar make it stand out.
