PF Chang's China Bistro Description:
A 40-foot-long Chinese mural is the first thing that catches the eye when you enter this splashy spot in upscale Fashion Island, but it's the scene and the friendly service that may bring you back. The updated versions of standard Cantonese dishes are usually prepared well, though the kitchen is inconsistent, and we've been disappointed on occasion. We've enjoyed the minced chicken and vegetables in lettuce wraps to start. For those with a taste for the spicy, the orange peel beef or shrimp should do the trick, although we're more partial to the lemon scallops or the chicken in black bean sauce. Avoid the fun noodles, which are rubbery and not fun at all. Wines are chosen to match the food, and most are available by the glass.
