At the foot of historic Newport Pier and right on Newport's lively concrete boardwalk, this local landmark is known as a romantic spot for good continental fare and a well-stocked subterranean wine cellar. Oddly enough for a hip beach restaurant, the Victorian era lives on here in the elegant and sophisticated setting: ornate brass and glass light fixtures, black leather booths, a color scheme featuring burgundy and a mahogany bar. Chef Umberto Rubelli creates reliable cuisine, and has an especially deft hand with seafood. Start with the apple-walnut salad with a Dijon-raspberry vinaigrette. Signature entrées include the thick-cut "baseball" swordfish steak, an 18-ounce bone-in rib-eye, two-pound Maine lobsters and 18-ounce osso buco, slow-cooked for ten hours. If you're looking to try something a little more exotic, order up a Baja pink abalone steak.

21 Oceanfront... Absolute perfection. We love the New Year's Eve parties!! It's an elegant restaurant right on the oceanfront in Newport Beach, CA. Fresh & delicious seafood, Prime Steaks, Beautiful bars, live entertainment nightly.. We love looking out at the ocean/Catalina when the sun sets. The servers are so professional, and have been working there forever. They obviously love it.
The beautiful wine cellar is where you want to have your private parties!! I think the chef is from Italy, and the pastry chef is from France...They are so skilled, and use the finest ingredients. The prices are pretty good too!
