The Olive Garden Description:
This chain restaurant brings a mass-market version of Italian cuisine to the public. The décor of stucco walls, beamed ceilings and terra-cotta floors is formula, but still pleasant. Indeed, the atmosphere, like the extensive advertising, gives a feeling of abundance and good cheer. The wines are low priced, and many of the dishes may not be our idea of standard antipasti, but the public keeps coming for fried offerings such as zucchini, mozzarella, raviolis and chicken fingers. From the extensive menu, that includes seafood and steaks as well, you can do all right with a lasagna or linguini marinara, or make your own breadstick pizza. Cheesecake or tiramisu are available for dessert---you know the drill.
