Foundation Room Description:
This members-only House of Blues eatery has its heart in the right place. (Non-members may dine here; just be sure to call ahead.) The exotic yet elegant décor, a combination of North African, Indian and East Asian motifs (private prayer rooms with teak and brass statuary and hand-sewn beaded fabric wall coverings) is mind-boggling. The menu has nice diversions such as the starter of salt-and-pepper calamari served with sweet chili sauce prepared with just the right amount of heat or the entrée of grilled Berkshire pork chop with caramelized sweet mashed potato in a Grand Marnier sauce. The Casbah-esque lounge and (in summer) sweeping outdoor terrace overlooking the ocean are not to be missed for those who crave trés hip bar action.
